‘Pain on the Brain’ – a lecture by Dr. Allan Basbaum (UCSF department of Anatomy) on the topic of pain

In light of some of the recent posts that I have put up covering the topics of ‘referred pain‘ and ‘central sensitization,’ here is a great lecture given by AllanBasbaum (UCSF department of Anatomy) that describes the process of chronic pain including the biology, neurology, and treatment options.  This is a full length lecture…but is well worth your time to watch.
