Functional Anatomy Seminars‘ instructors are hand picked based on their knowledge of anatomic structure, functional anatomy, and manual skill. They are at the forefront of the current research regarding health care, injury management, and performance training. Many of them are active researchers in the fields of manual medicine and physical conditioning, as well as instructors, and/or lecturers at their respective educational institutions. In addition, each Functional Range Release™ instructor is also a Functional Anatomic Palpation Systems™ certified instructor. They have each successfully completed the advanced Functional Anatomy Seminars instructor course in both the F.A.P.™ and Fuctional Range Release™ systems.

Dr. Spina holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University. He later graduated with summa cum laude and clinic honors from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College as a Doctor of Chiropractic and subsequently completed the two-year post-graduate fellowship in sports sciences. Being the recipient of the ‘John W.A. Duckworth Award’ for the highest standing in Human Anatomy and Histology, Dr. Spina became the first pre-graduate student to tutor in the cadaver laboratory in the Dept. of Human Anatomy at the Chiropractic College, a position he continued throughout his post graduate fellowship program.
In addition to being an F.A.P.™ instructor, Dr. Spina co-owns and operates the Sports Performance Centres (sports medicine and high performance conditioning centres) in the Greater Toronto Area. He has also authored chapters in various sports medicine textbooks, and is a published researcher.

Dr. Chivers holds a Honours Bachelor of Physical Education from Brock University. Upon graduation he entered the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where he graduated with cum laude and clinical honours. He has just recently completed a two year post graduate fellowship program in Chiropractic Sports Sciences. Dr. Chivers has traveled throughout Canada as the team doctor for a variety of elite amateur and professional soccer clubs. Michael has also worked with national and provincial martial artists, elite triathletes and golfers. As the team doctor for Team Ontario Baseball, he has a special interest in working with and developing elite amateur pitchers in helping them get to the next level. Dr. Chivers also has published papers in peer reviewed scientific journals.

Dr. MacIntyre holds a Bachelor of Science in Honours Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University. He later graduated with clinical honours from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto as a Doctor of Chiropractic and completed a two-year post-graduate fellowship in sports sciences.
Dr. MacIntyre has worked with provincial and national level martial artists, professional and amateur golfers, triathletes, marathoners, cyclists, soccer, football, and hockey players. Ian has a special interest in performance consultations for both the elite and amateur golfer.

Dr. Saratsiotis graduated in 2003 from New York Chiropractic College with summa cum Laude honours. He is also a certified medical acupuncturist (Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, McMaster University) and an Active Release Techniques® (ART®) Provider. Dr. Saratsiotis has contributed as an author in medical textbooks and has published numerous scientific articles. In 2007, Dr. Saratsiotis moved his practice to Greece and has since also received a degree from the Physiotherapy School in Athens, Greece. Currently, in addition to private practice, he also teaches courses in orthopaedics, rheumatology, and soft tissue techniques at a private Physiotherapy School in Athens, Greece.

Dr. Howitt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Physical Education from the University of Western Ontario. He later graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College as a Doctor of Chiropractic and subsequently from the two-year post-graduate residency in sports sciences and the three-year post-graduate fellowship in rehabilitative sciences. Scott has traveled throughout the world with National and Provincial teams and has worked with professional and elite amateur triathletes, marathoners, cyclists, alpine skiers, bobsled / skeleton, rugby, soccer and hockey players. Scott is also a regular lecturer for the continuing education programs at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Can-Fit Pro conferences and IDEA Health and Fitness conventions.

Dr. Thistle graduated (magna cum laude) from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Shawn holds an Honours Degree (summa cum laude) in Kinesiology and a certificate in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, and is a Certified Active Release Techniques (ART®) Provider. Shawn is also certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association NSCA-USA. Shawn is the founder and president of RESEARCH REVIEW SERVICE Inc., designed to assist busy practitioners to integrate current, relevant evidence from chiropractic and physiotherapy research, into their practice. Shawn writes for a number of print and online publications and is a faculty member in the Dept. of Clinical Education and a lecturer in the Dept. of Orthopedics at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto.

Dr. Pajaczkowski holds Baccalaureate degrees with Cum Laude honors in Life Science from Queen’s University and Human Anatomy from National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). He graduated from Chiropractic as the Valedictorian of his class with Summa Cum Laude honors from NUHS, and has since completed a two-year post-graduate residency in Sports Sciences, a three-year post-graduate program in Rehabilitative Sciences, and a two-year course in acupuncture. Jason has been a member of the core medical team for the Canada Winter Games, as well as numerous professional, Olympic and Paralympic sports including football, soccer and hockey. He has authored chapters in several sports medicine textbooks, has published numerous research papers, and is a prominent lecturer for undergraduate and post-graduate sports medicine, rehabilitation and orthopedics.

He is in the second year of a two-year post graduate fellowship program in Chiropractic Sports Sciences. Dr. Sims has worked with provincial and national level martial artists and soccer players. Kevin is a published author in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is currently investigating the effects of the throwing motion of youth pitchers.
